ELC courses

These courses are designed for students and mature students wishing to improve their English language skills for general use, Cambridge and / or IELTS exams. Also ‘ELC’ Trinity College London exam preparation. Trinity provides Secure English Language Tests (SELTs) across the UK. These tests are approved for applications to the UKVI for visas, British Citizenship and Leave to Remain. Graded Examinations in Spoken English (GESE) – A1, A2 and B1 tests. Integrated Skills in English (ISE) – B1 and B2 tests.

Our courses are designed to be practical, efficient and to encourage you to improve your English. They are well planned by our experienced and enthusiastic teachers, lively and fun, for you to make fast progress in English. All courses will allow you to activate your passive English and build on what you already know. A positive attitude to study, determination and motivation will help you gain your goal.

All students take an ‘ELC’ online placement test together with a student profile needs analysis, to determine their level of ability in English. They then join the group appropriate to their level. A Progress Test may be taken and must be passed before you move up a level. Alternatively you may be upgraded, by special recommendation, from your teacher.

A graded ‘ELC’ Certificate showing your CEFR English language level and ability in the 6 skills ( Speaking, Pronunciation, Listening, Reading, Writing and Motivation / Attitude) will be given at the end of the course – click to see a sample
